Merge PDF

Combine PDFs in any order, free, in your browser

About this tool

Merging PDFs is one of the most common document tasks — and most online tools force you to upload files to a server. ShrinkTo's merge tool runs entirely in your browser using pdf-lib, so your documents stay private. Drop two or more PDFs, drag to reorder them, and download the combined file.

Why use a merge pdf tool?

Combining multiple PDFs into a single document is one of the most common office tasks — submitting a multi-document application as a single file, archiving related receipts together, or assembling chapters into a complete report. Doing this in your browser means you keep complete control: nothing uploads, nothing leaks, nothing waits.

How to merge PDFs

  1. Drop multiple PDFs. Add files in the order you want them. You can drag to reorder afterward.
  2. Reorder if needed. Drag each file card to set the final sequence.
  3. Click Merge. Files combine in-browser with full fidelity — no quality loss.
  4. Download the result. Single output PDF with all original pages preserved.

Frequently asked questions

How many PDFs can I combine?
There's no hard limit. Practical limit is browser memory — usually 50+ files of typical size work fine.
Will the page order be preserved?
Yes. Pages stay in the order shown, and you can reorder files via drag-and-drop before merging.
Do bookmarks and links survive?
Internal page links inside each PDF are preserved. Cross-document links and merged bookmarks are best-effort.
Does merging affect file size?
Output size is roughly the sum of inputs. Use the /tools/compress-pdf tool afterwards if needed.
Can I merge encrypted PDFs?
No. Unlock them first with /tools/unlock-pdf, then merge.
